  I cannot open documents, the program, or download documents from the internet. I have tried downloading the Fix-It program from the Microsoft. I have Microsoft word documents that i have created, when i try to open them I have to go to the document and right click and then select "OPEN. Open Word and go to Office Button | Word Options | Resources. Click Diagnose. This will repair and reregister Office , which should solve the problem.

Question is what is the permanent solution?

I am having this same problem as well. In reply to MJC 's post on September 1, EXE file in a folder under Program Files and then on Properties and then go to the Compatibility tab and uncheck all of the boxes? In reply to amcd89's post on September 2, After several painful hours on tech support chat, it turns out that apparently the solution is to uninstall and then reinstall your printer driver.
